The Section of Hospital Medicine
Providing excellence in the delivery of inpatient care
The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine's
Division of General Internal Medicine is proud to
announce the formation of a new section devoted
entirely to inpatient care. The Section of Hospital
Medicine is composed of board-certified internists
whose main interests involve applying the most current
evidence-based care to hospital patients.
Community-based internists and family practitioners
across western Pennsylvania now have the opportunity
to admit their patients to UPMC hospitals under
the care of a full-time, hospital-based faculty member.
Hospitalist physicians coordinate both routine and
highly specialized care and are committed to excellent
communication with patients and their referring
physicians throughout the hospital stay.
Physicians provide care at UPMC Presbyterian and
UPMC Montefiore.
The Academic Hospital Medicine Section of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is seeking academic and clinical hospitalists to join the currently vibrant group of 20 hospitalists. Click here to learn more.
